The procedure for awarding masters of ANAS scholarships to students  has changed

The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the Rules for determining and paying scholarships to doctoral students, students of higher education, secondary special and vocational education institutions, as well as master’s degree students of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
Relevant amendments to the Resolution “On Amendments to the Rules for Assignment and Payment of Scholarships to Doctoral Students, Higher, Secondary and Vocational Education Institutions, as well as Master’s Degree Students of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences” are intended to take into account a number of factors in determining and paying scholarships.  Read more »

On April 30, Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, visited the Ghizil-Agaj National Park.

After getting acquainted with the territory of the national park, rich fauna, and flora, Leyla Aliyeva then discussed with the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources Mukhtar Babayev the prospects for future development of specially protected natural areas, including coastal and marine reserves. During the visit, Leyla Aliyeva attended a ceremony to plant Eldar pines in the national park in order to demonstrate support for the release of fingerlings into the Small Ghizil-Agaj Bay of the Caspian Sea, as well as to increase the country’s green and forest areas.

The third edition of the Red Book will include more than 600 plant species

An editorial board has been set up for the third edition of the Red Book. AZERTAC, The statement gave Irada Huseynova, vice-president of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology. She said that a work program has been prepared for this publication: “The main purpose of the program is to clarify the list of rare and endangered species of plants, fungi, and animals, to ensure a review of the lists. “Species that no longer need protection will be removed from the list and species in need will be added to the list, populations of those species will be identified, GPS data will be updated and environmental factors will be studied”.
